    The tabernacle, or Tent of Meeting, gives an incredible picture of God’s ongoing presence among people. Many aspects of worship occur within the tabernacle, but the key to the tabernacle is the physical awareness of God’s presence and confidence of his engagement with creation and with human beings.

    Solomon’s temple was never intended to contain God. Rather, it was to point people to God and cause them to consider God’s ways. The church of the living Christ now carries that responsibility.
