  Life’s Surprises

  This four-week series for children explores the interruptions and unexpected moments in Christ’s ministry. Jesus’s reactions to the people and disruptions that occur around him help us recognize that God is sovereign. He can use these “accidents” and “interruptions” for his glory, and we can find grace in the divine interruptions that occur in our own lives.

    Week 1

    Jesus interrupts people’s ordinary lives and changes their whole direction. Sometimes God’s interruptions call us to step into larger roles in sharing the gospel. Sometimes his interruptions call us to do a small thing and welcome an outsider and show them God’s love.

    Week 2

    Jesus welcomes the children and encourages his followers to come to the kingdom with childlike faith.

    Week 3

    Jesus is interrupted by people from different backgrounds with many different illnesses and struggles. He makes time for the hurting and responds to their faith.

    The fearful disciples need Jesus’s help, and he responds.
