  We Are The Church

  This series highlights four of the ordinances of the church (baptism, communion, confession, worship). While these are practiced many ways in the church due to different doctrinal viewpoints, this four-week series focuses on how they apply in terms of congregational community and what roles they play in corporate worship.

    Baptism welcomes us into the family of faith and invites our brothers and sisters to hold us accountable and teach and guide us.

    Communion is a corporate act that the church partakes in to recenter our worship and remind us that we are united in Christ’s body through his sacrifice.

    Rather than being an act that condemns us for our wrongdoing, godly confession is a gift from God that heals, restores, and releases us from the weight of past mistakes, while allowing others to help us move forward in strength and freedom.

    True worship recognizes God’s sovereignty as Lord of our life in all we do individually and as the body of Christ.
