Weekly Previews
Week 1
The announcement of John the Baptist’s birth was an answer to prayer at what seemed like the most unrealistic time. Zechariah and Elizabeth were to be parents of the forerunner to the Messiah of God.
Week 2
The appearance of the angel to Mary is significant in that it sets the stage for the arrival of the hope of Israel and of the world. But the circumstances could not have been more miraculous—or concerning.
Week 3
The shepherds could represent many things in the birth account of Jesus, but one of the most important might be that God chose people who were not highly regarded by others. The shepherds were the first conduit that God would use to begin getting the word out.
