Overview
This seven-week series will encourage the Christian to go beyond the superficial and search deep into their heart to see themselves as Christ sees them. Christ’s bold Sermon on the Mount challenged his hearers to understand that God was seeking internal righteousness from them, not just external acts. This is only possible through God’s work to bring new life in us.
Weekly Previews
Week 1
God teaches that an internal righteousness is what produces external acts of righteousness.
Week 2
Teaching about kingdom attributes, Jesus showed that true righteousness goes beyond the superficial teachings of the Pharisees.
Week 3
Teaching about more kingdom attributes, Jesus continued to show that true righteousness goes beyond the superficial teachings of the Pharisees.
Week 4
Our motivation for serving Christ should be rooted in pleasing Christ and him alone.
Week 5
Following Christ’s message is essential, but we have to be cautious not to become what he was preaching against.
Week 6
When we build our life below the baseline where no one sees but God, our life will be able to withstand any outside force.
Week 7
Our life will be revolutionized when we allow Christ and his message to rule our lives.
