Series Guide

Overview

This six-week series examines the remarkable spread of the gospel and the kingdom of God from Jerusalem, to Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the world. Jesus has commissioned every one of his followers to be his witness by the power of the Holy Spirit. Despite challenges from outside and within, the kingdom of God continues to advance. Today, we continue to be his witnesses and have a vital role in the continuing story of Jesus’s unstoppable kingdom.


Weekly Previews

Week 1

The Holy Spirit empowers God’s people to be witnesses of the good news of Jesus Christ, beginning in Jerusalem, then Judea, then Samaria, and finally to the ends of the earth.

Week 2

After being filled with the Holy Spirit, Peter proclaims the gospel; over three thousand people are saved, the church is born, and God’s kingdom begins to impact Jerusalem.

Week 3

As the kingdom of God moves forward, challenges from outside and within the church will occur.

Week 4

God’s kingdom begins to spread from Jerusalem into Samaria and Judea as the church continues to be witnesses of Jesus.

Week 5

As the gospel begins to go to the ends of the world, God directs Paul where to go to advance the kingdom.

Week 6

Even though the book of Acts ends with Paul in Rome, the mission of God and the advancement of his kingdom continues today.
